Whether you need a short-term babysitter, regular weekly childcare or a full-time nanny, we can help your family make ends meet. An Au-Pair can help you make ends meet by filling in at pick-up/drop-off, cooking for the children after pre-school and looking after them for longer periods/evenings. If you already have contact with an Au-pair or another person who wants to work as a nanny, we can employ them with us. The service will then be both white and RUT-eligible. Your babysitting receive safety training and become insured through us.
Our most popular arrangement for au-pairs in Sweden is that they live in their own accommodation and meet the family as needed and desired. So-called "live-out" au-pairs. Many of our full-time nannies are bilingual and native English speakers. Sometimes we also get nannies who speak French or Spanish. It is not at all unusual for the nanny to accompany you on family holidays or similar. If this is something you want, you can indicate it in your application. We can also in some cases find and accommodate an Au-pair who can live with you if we get a few months. We do not charge a search fee, but the minimum time to have an Au-pair is 6 months and we will invoice you monthly for the service.

Price of an au pair
For "regular babysitting", where your nanny does not live with you, the regular prices. For an Au-Pair, the price picture is different, as you provide both food and accommodation. The first thing to decide is how many hours a week you expect your Au-Pair to "work" and how much free time they will be given. The second step is for you to agree with us on a reasonable hourly rate. We are open to setting a lower hourly rate than we normally offer, provided you provide board and lodging.
You can decide on the remuneration, but too low a salary risks making our selection too narrow. Once the conditions are set, we will start advertising for your specific assignment and hire and safety train an Au-pair specifically for you.
Do you want to employ your existing nanny as an Au-Pair?
If you already have a contact with an Au-pair who wants to work with you, we can hire them and make the position white. When we "drop" our recruitment costs, we can also offer you a better price! The higher the price/salary you are willing to pay, the more candidates we have to choose from. If you provide your own nanny, you will receive a 5% discount and thus pay only SEK 95 per SEK 100 salary.
When you come to us with your own Au-pair, we contact them to finalise the salary and arrangements. We then hire your Au-pair through Hey Kiddo, run a background check and offer our CPR training in the office. As always, safety comes first!
