How did you end up working as a babysitter?
- As I have worked as a babysitter before for quite some time, it feels natural. For example, I have babysat my cousins and the children of our family friends on various occasions. I used to work as a babysitter for another company, but I decided to start at Hey Kiddo because it's much more convenient. For me, it's easy to find new jobs without a lot of hassle," Bella begins.
What is the best thing about babysitting?
- You get so much out of working with children! They are so cute and lovely. Of course, sometimes it can be hard, as with any job. But it's worth it because I get so much love back - the children bring so much joy," she continues.
What do you usually do during the hours you are babysitting?
- Oh, my God, all sorts of things. One day we can go shopping, and then there's usually some new game that the kids enjoy. Other days we play in the park and then we go home and decide what to do cook for food. The children I babysit also like to draw, ride scooters and have fun - of course!
What is the funniest thing a child has said to you?
- Children say very funny things all the time. But there is one thing that has stuck with me: "I love Mummy, Daddy and Bella. I love Bella too!"
Are there any mischievous things children like to do when their parents are not at home?
- Yes, it tries to trick me sometimes. But I've been working with children for so long that I see right through it," laughs Bella. A child I was babysitting once said: "Mummy said I can eat the whole bowl of sweets!"
What is your best tip for someone who wants to become a babysitter?
- Just go for it! Babysitting is a lot of fun and you learn a lot," Bella concludes.
